Liss/Alex: Hi, my name is Lisa/Alex. I have my very first play tomorrow and I am super nervous. Can you
help me? You can! Thank you! Wait, so you did the same play before? You were also nervous?
So, what did you do? Okay, trying not to look at people would help me a lot when I am doing
the play. Do you have any other strategies? One more, what is it? Practicing in front of my
family will help me? Thanks again! Now I am not nervous, I am excited! Now that I am
confident in practicing and going on stage, I will make tomorrow the best day of my life. I will
always remember these things when I go on stage. I am super excited to go on stage. I am
going to do my best. Thank you so much!

Boy/Girl: Hi, I’m simon. (Smirks at audience, winking flirtatiously.) I come from
a mixed family, my mom’s like half cherry, dad’s rocky road. It makes me
a whole lot of chunky, with a side of smooth. (Looks around, pause.)
What was I talking about… Oh yeah, people ask what my biggest flaw is. I
guess I’m just too strong. They just can’t take all this flavor, you know?
(Gestures to entire body. Pauses.) It’s hard for me, you know? (Tone
switches, slightly hesitant.) I have no idea who I am. My one aunt is
certain I’m vanilla, my uncle thinks I’m chocolate. But I’m strawberry too,
right? In the freezer section, the flavors pretty much stick to their own
kind. Vanilla with Vanilla and Chocolate with Chocolate. They never accept
me the way I am. That’s okay, though. I’m going to be myself even if they
don’t accept me. I’ll scoop out my own sorta life. Maybe I’ll travel the
kitchen, see the counter… visit the tower of pizza. We all need to accept
who we are, like that Miss Strawberry chic. She’s natural, and I respect
that. Even if she stalks me day and night. It’s kinda creepy… I can’t even
re-freeze without being sure she’s not looking. But hey, at least she’s not
one of those dairy-free flavors. I don’t buy that for a second.

Emma:
(Sitting alone, staring into the distance)
Today feels like one of those days, you know? The ones where everything's just a shade darker, and the sun doesn't quite manage to break through the clouds. It's like the world forgot to send me the memo on happiness.
(Sighs deeply)
People say being a teenager is all about laughter and adventures, but no one talks about the storm inside. It's this constant whirlwind of emotions, and today, it's a full-blown hurricane. I guess it's okay not to be okay, right?
(Looks down, playing with her fingers)
It's like, I woke up, and the world decided to play a trick on me. Everything that used to bring joy suddenly feels a bit dull, a bit out of tune. Even the sunlight streaming through my window doesn't have the same warmth.
(Shakes head, as if trying to shake off the gloom)
I thought growing up would be this exciting journey, full of self-discovery and all that stuff they show in movies. Instead, it feels like I stumbled into a maze, and I can't find the way out. Do you ever feel like that?
(Pauses, waiting for an imaginary response)
I guess life didn't get the memo that I'm not in the mood today. I'm wearing this mask, you know? The one that says, "I'm okay, everything's fine," but inside, it's a chaos of emotions I can't quite figure out.
(Looks up, eyes glistening)
Maybe tomorrow will be different. Maybe the storm will pass, and I'll see the colors again. Until then, I'll navigate this maze, hoping for a glimpse of light at the end.
(Softly)
Because sometimes, even the stars need the darkness to shine.
EMILI:
Hey there, world! Today, I just have to spill it – I'm on cloud nine! You know those days when the sun seems to shine just for you? Well, today is MY day.
I woke up this morning, and the world was painted in the most amazing hues. Birds were having a full-on choir practice outside my window, and I couldn't help but join in – I mean, who could resist? The sheer delight of being alive today is bubbling up inside me like a fizzy soda.
You ever have those moments when everything clicks? When it feels like you're in sync with the universe, and the universe is throwing confetti in celebration? Yeah, that's my vibe today. It's like the universe is my personal cheerleader, rooting for me in the grand spectacle of life.
I don't know if it's the sunshine, the goofy grin of the guy I like, or just the fact that life is being extra kind, but I'm soaking it all in. Happiness is contagious, right? So, consider this my infectious joy spreading through the airwaves.
And you know what's the best part? I've got this feeling – this tingling anticipation that today is just the beginning. It's like I'm standing at the threshold of something amazing, and the world is conspiring to make it all happen.
So here's to the happy dances, the laughter that feels like it might just lift you off the ground, and the butterflies in your stomach that tell you life is one big, beautiful adventure. Today, I'm not just living; I'm thriving, sparkling, and dancing through the joyous rhythm of life. Cheers to happiness, my friends!
(Excitedly)
Hey there, everyone! Today's been absolutely awesome, let me tell you. You know those days when everything just clicks into place, and you're on cloud nine? Well, that's me today!
(Laughs)
I woke up with this big grin on my face, like I've got a pocket full of sunshine or something. The birds outside were singing my own personal theme song. Seriously, it's like they knew today was special.
(Grinning)
So, picture this: I aced my math quiz—boom! It's like my brain decided to show off its superpowers. And then at lunch, they had my favorite pizza. I mean, who doesn't love a good pizza day?
(Excitedly)
But wait, it gets better. You won't believe it. Remember that science project I was stressing about? Well, I rocked it! The volcano erupted on cue, and Mrs. Johnson was like, "Whoa, you're a science genius!" Okay, maybe not in those exact words, but close enough.
(Proudly)
And guess what? After school, my best friend and I found this hidden stash of comics at the library. It's like we discovered buried treasure or something. Comics, man! The good stuff.
(Reflectively)
I sat on the porch, watching the sunset, feeling the cool breeze. It hit me that today is one of those days that's gonna stick with me, you know? The kind of day you wanna bottle up and save for later when you need a boost.
(Grateful)
Life's good, my friends. Today, I'm the captain of my own ship, sailing on the sea of happiness. And you better believe I'm enjoying every wave. Here's to the fantastic, incredible, stupendous day! Cheers!
