On Sunday afternoon, Alto Vineyards will offer something for everyone. especially for struggling young art students.
A benefit concert for Candy Foster’s Parkland College Fine Arts Scholarship Fund will be held locally. Foster is one of four live artists performing during the event, which also includes raffles, auctions, and refreshments.
Foster stated, “We’re aiming for three $500 scholarships this year.”
The Tom Grassman Band opens the show at 2 p.m., supported by The Fairchilds, the Ability to heal Center Gospel Singers, and Foster at 5.
As they take in the performances, attendees are urged to unwind.
We are grateful that our venue, Alto Vineyards, gave us a location on the grounds, Foster added. We want people to bring lawn chairs and other items, meet together, and do a number of things.
Foster’s objective of giving $1,500 in scholarships to local kids interested in pursuing artistic careers would be made possible with the support of donations.
Foster has played the blues for a very long time, so he is well aware of how crucial it is to enter the industry properly.
Foster stated, “(I want people to) make it work for them and learn this material the way it’s intended to be. “I grew up with many people who had to educate themselves on how to do things, and some of them did pretty well. But imagine how different they would have been if they had received instruction.
